Sell appointments, classes and rentals without double bookings.
Mint Bookings turns any product into something customers book: a calendar on the product page, the time held while they pay, a checkout rule that won't sell a booking without a time, and a calendar for you.
Bookings that stay correct
A booking is a promise to be somewhere at a certain time, so Mint Bookings treats every place like stock that can only be sold once.
Customers pick a day and a time (or a first day and number of days for rentals) right where they'd add to cart. Full times are shown as full, and places left can be shown for classes.
The chosen time is reserved for the customer for 15 minutes by default, so two people can't end up paying for the last place. Picking another time gives the first one back.
A checkout rule stops a bookable product from being bought without a reserved time, or after its booking details or quantity were changed in the cart. It runs on Shopify's servers, including express checkouts.
Every place is taken in one step that checks and writes together, so simultaneous customers, duplicate order notifications and slow checkouts can't push a time past its places. An order that can't be booked is flagged for you instead.
Opening hours follow each product's time zone. A start time that doesn't exist on the night clocks go forward is skipped, and one that happens twice is offered once. Every appointment lasts exactly its duration.
See who booked what, reschedule to any free time or cancel. Cancelled orders and refunded places are released automatically. Pro adds staff and resources, emails with a calendar file, and a calendar feed.

Questions merchants ask
What can I sell with it?
Anything booked for a time or by the day: appointments (haircuts, consultations, lessons), classes and workshops with several places per time, and rentals (bikes, kayaks, equipment) priced per day. Each is a normal Shopify product, so its price, taxes, discounts and checkout work as usual.
What stops two customers booking the last place?
When a customer picks a time, the place is held for them while they check out. The hold and every booking are recorded in a single database step that checks capacity and writes at the same time, so only one of two simultaneous customers can get the last place; the other is asked to choose another time.
What if checkout takes longer than the hold?
When the order arrives, the booking is still made if the time is free. If someone else took the last place in the meantime, the order is listed on the app home as needing a time, so you can give it another time or cancel and refund. It is never silently double-booked.
Can customers add a bookable product without choosing a time?
No. The checkout rule blocks it, with a clear message, whether they use the add to cart button, a quick-add button or an express checkout. Orders that reach you another way, for example on POS, appear in the app as needing a time so you can give them one.
Do customers get a confirmation?
Shopify's own order confirmation shows the booked time on every plan. On Pro, customers also get a booking confirmation with a calendar file, a reminder 24 hours before, and a notice if you move or cancel their booking.
What happens on the Free plan after 30 bookings?
Existing bookings are never touched. The storefront calendar stops offering new times until the next month, and the app tells you when you're getting close. Nothing is charged automatically.
